First Impressions: Disney Storybook Pallet Ariel

Hello, hello,

If you've been checking Sephora out at all since September you know that they have a special collection out by Disney, where they release a Disney Princess inspired makeup set. The first two collections were Cinderella and Jasmin. The third collection, and possibly according to rumors that I've heard the last in the collection, is the Ariel inspired set.

I personally do own both of the first two sets and they were quite good, but to be more than honest this is my favorite Story book pallet out of all three.

The outside packaging is the first thing you notice and like the previous two storybooks the packaging is incredible, I actually have the cases displayed and often get asked by visitors what they are because they are truly works of art.

When you open the packaging by sliding out the tray you can see that the trays are covered in fabric, I personally do not like the fabric that they chose for this, it's sort of a velvet, and if you do happen to leave the tray in the drawer it gets super dirty and is really hard to clean. However, the colours in this pallet are just amazing so many fun colours, the previous two pallets Cinderella and Jasmin were more pastel like and more warm neutrals respectavly.

The pigmentation of the colours alone is incredible though there are a few lack luster colours, overall though amazing choices. Most have shimmery finish although a few are matte, and for the first time out of all the collections there are two metallic colours. Some of my favorites out of this pallet are Flotsam, Caspian Sea, Your Voice, Atlantica, Fins, Triton Jetsam and Sea Witch are truly fantastic.

(Left to right: Top Row Blue Lagoon, Scuttle, Flounder (matte), Sebastien (matte), Flostam. Second Row: Sea Shells, Les Poissons, Caspian Sea, Your Voice (metallic), Lost Souls (matte). Third Row: Atlantica, Fins, Sick of Swimmin', Ursula, Sha La La (matte). Bottom Row: Triton (metalic), Wanderin' Free, Jetsam, Sea Witch. Treasures Untold.

If you are able to get your hands on one of these pallets, I definatly recommend picking it up it is such a fantastic pallet and you will not regret it, I only hope that Disney continues releasing pallets like this.
