Sorry about not posting in a while, things got kind of hectic for awhile, and i apologize. Anyways I thought in order to make it up to you guys that a big review would be in order, so here we go.
As far as High end pressed shadow pallets go I have to say that Urban Decay is one of my favourites, they are highly pigmented and fairly blend able, they come in a wide range of brights, that is not to say that they do not have some issues with their pallets, but they are definitely a good investment.
The Naked Basics pallet is definitely one of the best small pallets you can buy I use this one just about daily, a fantastically pigmented mostly matte pallet is fantastic for toning down and anchoring any look. However, my one complaint about this pallet is that on the back of the packaging it markets itself as a combination set of both matte shades and shimmers, description of the pallet online claims it to be a completely matte shade, however, after reviewing the pallet itself there are five matte shades and one shimmer:
Top to Bottom Left to Right: Naked 2, , Crave, Venus (Shimmer) Foxy and Walk of Shame.
The Mariposa Pallet is mostly metallic shades with a few bright colours most of the shadows I find are better suited as a crease or contour shade, The singular exception is Skimp the only highlight shade is matte. Most of these shades are soft and blend able, with the exception of Limelight which I find to be very dry, flaky and it seems to have to large of chunks of glitter in it.
Top to Bottom Left to Right: Skimp, Money, Limelight, Gunmetal, Haight, Spotlight, Rockstar, Wreckage and Mushroom
The Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadow pallet is not one of my most favourite pallets its not one I'm generally drawn to on any given day just because they're not always the most wearable shades, they are all iridescent shades heavily shimmery, the only one that is a disappointment to me and it's not too much of a surprise is Zero which is a sparkly black, I don't find it to be as heavily pigmented as most blacks I own, and I don't generally use too much black eyeshadow anyway, also this pallet has a velvet cover, and any fallout from this pallet or any other powder product attracts to it like a magnet.
Top to Bottom Right to Left: Ransom, Peace, Underground, Honey, Zero, Scratch, Fishnet, Graffiti and Shag.
Thanks everyone for being so patient and don't forget to comment, tell me if there is anything you guys would like to see.
Later guys,
the Makeup Breakup
